Annie O’Connell has practiced law for 11 years. She is the owner/sole proprietor of O’Connell Law Office, PLLC. Her practice has included criminal defense, family law, personal injury, employment and probate matters. She has conducted numerous jury trials, including complex and high-profile felony matters, throughout the Commonwealth’s state and federal courts.
A native Louisvillian, Annie is an alumna of Sacred Heart Academy and Holy Spirit Catholic School. She graduated from New College of Florida in Sarasota, Florida. After college, she worked in Washington, D.C. for four years before returning to Kentucky to attend law school. She graduated from University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law and was admitted to the practice of law in 2006.
Early in her career, Annie was featured in Louisville Magazine as a “Young Lawyer On the Rise” (2006). In 2012, she was awarded the Frank E. Haddad, Jr. Young Lawyer of the Year award by the Louisville Bar Association. She has a reputation among her colleagues, judges and clients as a smart and zealous advocate.
